New Season, Intrepid hangs their title banner
After a disappointing loss in last season’s TWL CS:S open finals, intrepid begins a new season by hanging their TWL Season 15 Central Division Championship banner prior to tonight’s home opener against Integ.
Although intrepid didn’t capture their 1st TWL Open title they did qualify to move onto TWL main, however in a turn of events this season TWL is going to go with 1 division by combining everyone into TWL Open. One unnamed intrepid member was quoted saying “This is lame, you fight your whole e-life, to get to a point where you can say I feel like I accomplished something, and this was a major disappointment”. Another member griev said the following while taking a break from sucking d “we tried really fucking hard. We practiced day in and day out. People made sacrifices for us to get far but it didn't matter. When it came time to do work, people failed. We wanted to prove to the world that we were TWL champions. Maybe this time around, we will not have so much failure on our side”. Because intrepid won’t be competing in TWL Main this season they will have to make an attempt to go all the way once again. Their first order of business? Defend their Central Title and from there hopefully make it to that grand stage again but scripting a new ending, an ending with an Open title. Lord Woody saying “One dub away, I think we can do it this time with a season like that under our belts”.
Last season seemed to be one of many milestones; however they were made much easier with the free agent signing of Mu5hy, a real powerhouse player. A player with a very unorthodox style of game play, winning rounds with scouts, P90s, compacts and of all things a laid back attitude that put the rest of the team in a relaxed state where tightness and tension usually sets in. When we caught up with GM, Leader and Starter of intrepid Lord Woody, he said “You just know this guy is good and that he would fit in just fine, he tends to say some odd things before rounds like, You know what wins rounds? Second round scouts. You don’t usually hear that from players but when this guy says it, he produces. I mean clearly he’s a winner it’s in his name, when I saw his name as Mushchampion that sealed the deal for me, I want W’s”.
Another new member showed their colors in last season’s playoffs, Hesh showed up for the match of his life in the Inferno round, being named that round’s MVP. Being one of the most generous members on the scoreboard, he played at the last minute on a setup that was unfamiliar to him and still seemed to be clicking on all cylinders. Long time members, griev, Yoshi, jonny5, Gizmo, AVEDA, and Lord Woody took it to the house relying on their bold no scopes and timely clutches, what waits in the wings for intrepid, only time and a season of TWL will tell.
